Bucks New University and Wessex Deanery are offering free CPD programmes for practice nurses in Oxfordshire and surrounding counties in South Central Half day and one day topics on a range of topics -

The provision of all courses at the Higher Education Institutes’ Schools of Health and Social Care is currently free of charge to Practice Nurses in Oxfordshire (basically anything at Brookes or Reading that sits within schools of healthcare) – however this may change soon (funding wise) due to the cuts in educational budgets
Practice nurses may access everything in the PCT Learning Directory for a standing charge of £100/whole day, £50/half except where separate charges are made for specific courses. The PCT learning directory can be found on Oxweb and on the PCT intranet

NESC is funding a year long pilot
General Practice Nurse (GPN) foundation programme for 12 nurses who
have never worked in General Practice before. We are hoping to put
on a practice nurse conference later this year/early next year - information
will be posted on this website
