The Advanced Human Factors in Healthcare course is a unique two day course which has a personalised, interactive approach so that you not only explore the topic of Human Factors but come to understand its relevance to you individually.
The Human Factors course will include the following topics:
An introduction to human factors: what is it and what's it got to do with me?
- Practical introduction to the error chain
- Communication: am I any good at it?
- Conflict resolution
- NOTECHS
- Decision making
- Situational awareness
- Leadership
- Team roles
This is a very interactive course with small groups of only ten people to allow individual attention.
This is aimed at anyone in a leadership role and is offered at a cost of £400 per person. Dr Debbie Rosenorn-Lanng is the facilitator, a Consultant Anaesthetist and the Director of Simulation and Healthcare Quality Improvement at the RBH with a special interest in Human Factors.
